Welcome to Mumma Realty & Auctioneers

In 1910 Colonel Frank Mumma became an auctioneer and real estate Broker. Today after 113 years and 5 generations later the Mumma name automatically makes you think of auctions and real estate.

Carl Mumma became the second generation and joined his father after coming home from World War II in 1945. Carl and his father worked together until a heart attack claimed the life of Col. Frank Mumma in 1956.

In 1972 Carl's son, Ron joined his father as an auctioneer and real estate agent and became the third generation to work at Mumma Auctioneer and Mumma Realty.

Carl and Ron auctioned side by side for 34 years. On September 3, 2006, after 61 years as an auctioneer, Carl passed away at age 83.  When asked about going on without his father Ron said," I was so blessed to have had such a wonderful Dad and teacher.

We golfed together, fished together, hunted together and worked together.  I lost the most important man in my life, but he prepared me to move on.  Hopefully, I can pass that along to my children and grandchildren."

In 1997, Carl's granddaughter, Ron's daughter, Natalie Mumma began working in the family business as office manager. Natalie attended Sinclair Community College and Clark State Community College majoring in Real Estate and Property Management.

Natalie became a Realtor in 1998 and currently sells real estate privately, runs the office, and closes all auction property transactions.

Natalie was awarded the Ohio Assoc. of Realtors Award of Excellence for 2015 for over $5 million in real estate sales. Natalie was the only realtor in Springfield to achieve this prestigious award. Natalie & Curtis received the Award of Excellence in 2016, 2017, 2019, & 2021 for over 7.5 Million in sales. Natalie and her husband, Josh, have 4 children... Morgan, Preston, Perry and Parker. The 5th generation is now in training!

In 2001, Ron's son, Curtis, began working alongside his father. Curtis attended Reppert's School of Auctioneering and served a one year apprenticeship under Ron. Curtis received his real estate license in 2002 and sells real estate privately and conducts all auctions with Ron. Curtis has been awarded the OAR Award of Distinction for 2.5 million in real estate sales for 7 consecutive years (2009-2015).

Curtis & Natalie received the Award of Excellence in 2016, 2017, 2019, & 2021 for over 7.5 million in real estate sales. Curtis received his Real Estate Brokers license in 2015. He is passionate about his job and loves what he does. Curtis and his wife, Maureen, have 4 children.......Amelia, Anna, Quinn, & Connor. The 5th generation in training!

To make a business last 113 years, it takes either a dedicated family or a commitment to honesty and hard work. Here at Mumma Auctioneers and Mumma Realty we happen to have both.

So, join us in a salute to the importance of tradition and the old fashioned commitment of leaving a good thing alone.
